I am pleased that our government is enhancing the lives and educational experience of students in the Burlington community by investing over $15.3 million in two local high schools. This funding will provide modern learning environments that will help enable students to reach their full potential.
The investments made in Nelson High School and M.M. Robinson High School will help ensure that students are provided the best student experience possible, in a high-quality learning environments. Investments like this, are one of the many steps our government has taken to support student achievement and well-being.
This funding is part of a $784 million investment across the province to build 39 new schools, and undertake 40 major renovations or additions that will include more than 2,700 licensed child care spaces. This will provide more than 46,000 students with the learning spaces they need for the changing world.
We know that when children succeed, we all succeed. This investment will make a difference for families now and for generations to come by providing a strong foundation for learners.
